1. What Tretin is and what it is used for?
TRETIN contains retinoic acid (tretinoin) as the active substance.
The active ingredient of TRETIN, retinoic acid (tretinonin), when applied to the skin, stimulates the regeneration of cells belonging to the epidermis, which is the top layer of the skin, suppresses excessive keratin formation and stimulates the skin's repair mechanisms.
Formulated in a special cream base that is easily accepted by the skin, TRETIN regulates the blood circulation in the skin and strengthens the skin texture by providing pores to be tightened. It also stimulates collagen production in the skin and tightens the top layer of the skin.
TRETIN is in homogeneous white cream form.
Thanks to these features, TRETIN shows itself in the form of various skin lesions.
Used to treat acne vulgaris (acne).
2. Things to consider before using TRETIN

Existence of eczema on the skin (TRETIN may cause irritation in areas of eczematous skin reported to be; therefore, it should be used very carefully by such patients

When TRETIN is used with therapeutic soaps and cleansers, a strong drying effect occurs.
Care should be taken if products containing sulfur, resorcin or salicylic acid are used in combination with TRETIN.

3. How to use TRETIN?
Instructions for proper use and dose / frequency of administration:
TRETIN is applied to the skin once a day at night.
With the application, there may be a temporary temperature and stinging sensation on the skin. If necessary, the dose that the patient can withstand can be adjusted by interrupting treatment or reducing the frequency of administration.
There may be an increase in inflamed lesions in the first weeks of treatment. This is due to the effect of the drug on the lesions and does not require discontinuation of the drug.
Treatment results appear after 2-3 weeks, but more than 6 weeks may be required for full benefit.
The drug can be used less frequently after the lesions start to heal.
Application way and method:
TRETIN should be rubbed lightly on the lesioned skin area with the fingertip.
Patients using TRETIN can use cosmetics; however, the skin must be completely cleaned before treatment.
Different age groups:
Use in children: No data are available for children under 12 years of age.
In children and adolescents over 12 years old, the adult dose is administered.
Use in the elderly:
Adult dose is applied to those over 65 years of age.
Special use cases: Kidney / Liver failure:
No dose adjustment is required.
