This is a great replica of the legendary Clone Centaur pedal, down to the graphic and styling of the knobs, original specs and FET-based op amps. Perhaps a tiny bit smaller (and more pedalboard-friendly) than the original. You know the deal with the Original Centaur... Sounds great, but overpriced! This replica captures the look and mojo of the original, for a fraction of the price! I´ve owned many overdrives before including TS9 and Soul Food, but I gotta say - having a CLONE Centaur (even if not the real one...) is pretty cool! Very rare and hard to come by, i've never come across one before and it looks totally MINT! Awesome. Unbelieavably transparent tone. ABOUT THIS CLONE CENTAUR REPLICA: You're getting a hand-made, fully-tested pedal using the original spec FET-based op-amps - meaning low noise operation and smooth top-end response. The 9v circuit gives plenty of clean headroom, whilst the treble control gives plenty of tone-shaping flexibility. Great for pushing a gritty valve amp into 'screaming' territory, these pedals also provide enough grit to stand alone as a medium-gain 'crunch' box. Controls are for 'Gain', 'Treble', and 'Output' Gain(to set the level of distortion/overdrive), Treble (to adjust the frequency), and Output (for effect volume). Many players find this to be just the right amount of control, letting you adjust the effect to match your tone without losing the essence of the effect. It also sounds great paired with other effects, especially delay and distortion pedals, and since it can run off of AC power, it’s an easy pedal to fit into your rig.
